GENERAL RULES

There are rules in place to keep the community a happy one. If you feel someone is being too disruptive, breaking rules, or being predatory in some manner, please message a moderator or blarg.

1. The server is strictly 18+! Anyone found to be lying about their age will be permanently banned.
2. Upon joining you will have access to creative. Please ensure you read the [What is a Settlement] thread before using it. Absolutely no griefing of builds or using it inappropriately, if a mistake is made please report it as soon as possible.
3. Do not fly around or disrupt others when they are in RP.
4. Discrimination of any kind is not permitted on the server, discord, or forums.
5. Absolutely no generative AI in any form whatsoever! Hollow World is home to many amazing writers, artists, and musicians. Seek them out, not machine made slop!
6. We'd love to see your art, but check the pinned post in the #art channel before posting it if you think it could be in any way offensive.
7. Treat others with the respect you'd want to be shown, we are all here to enjoy the server together! If you are found to be disrupting the harmony of the server you may be banned.

ROLEPLAY RULES

Whilst we are an 18+ server, there are several things we either do not permit or ask that you keep to private RP. 

1. Sexual assault and pedophilia do not exist in universe. Do not reference them at all. Anyone found to be roleplaying out these themes in any capacity will be banned.
2. Self harm, suicide, miscarriage, abuse, and mental illness are extremely sensitive topics. Whilst they are not strictly banned, we ask they are carefully handled and kept in private roleplays where the other person(s) consent to such themes.
3. Whilst torture and gore are permitted on the server, they should be minimal. Avoid excessive descriptions of such things.
4. Romantic roleplay is permitted, but keep it tame. Anything erotic (ERP) is not permitted on the server. Alluding to nudity or being nude in a nonsexual context is fine, as long as it isn’t gratuitous. Never have a minecraft skin actually naked, we don’t need it, and if your character being nude comes up so often it would be convenient, you’re being gratuitous.
5. Fantasy racism such as humans calling elves knife ears is fine, but anything resembling real life racism is not.
6. You must have consent in order to severely maim or kill another player unless consent for such is waived before hand, such as entering a violent event or doing things that warrant such a response (i.e. being told "if you put your hand on that door, you lose your hand" then touching the door). Take it up with a DM if there’s a dispute.
7. Don't powergame or metagame! Powergaming is where you go to ridiculous lengths to justify your character's power, and metagaming is using knowledge procured OOC to your advantage IC. It's bad form!
