Description: A young man whose body has been tempered from the harsh lifestyle that he lived before moving to the mainland and continued to live as a laborer. Halvar has grown into an average sized man with broad shoulders and a densely built frame. He is by no means cut, but practical muscle adorns his bones. He has strong features, a crooked nose, and his ear carries a thick golden loop for an earring. The most eye-catching features upon this young man are a brand that falls upon his left palm and scarring along his face.

[Curse] Purity's Mark. Characters who bear this curse are physically harmed by direct sunlight, including artificial sunlight summoned by artifacts or divine spells. It is a pain about on bar with burning one's flesh on a candle's flame; sharp and surprising at first, then only worse from there. While under direct sunlight, these characters cannot cast arcane spells. These affects only apply for direct sunlight. Overcast days do not bother them. They can bear indirect sunlight fine, and may thus mitigate the effects of this curse through hoods, parasols, heavy clothes, etc. If they prepare magic to block sunlight, their magic can even block it, but once touched by direct sunlight they cannot cast or maintain spells until they are out of it again.
