Here's a small stat system for doing 1d20 rolls in-game meant to give character's faint amount of representation in rolls.

I wanted to make one because I like rolls, but I don't want to rely completely on a flat d20 for my character if I know they're good or weak at something.

How it works?

Everyone has a pool of 3 points to allocate into

Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Intelligence, Charisma

Everyone can substract a max of 1 point from one and slot that into another.

Every stat has a maximum cap of +3.

I.e:

Briarwood has allocated 1 point into Intelligence and two points into constitution.

There for her stats are

Strength(0), Constitution(+2), Dexterity(0), Intelligence(+1), Charisma(0)

To make constitution related rolls, i.e surviving the ravages of swimming and the sea, she would roll each d20 with a +2

/roll 1d20 +2

Gwyrthiol has allocated 1 point into Strength, one point into Dexterity and one point into Charisma. He has also subtracted one point from his intelligence and allocated that into another point of Strength

Therefore his stats are

Strength(+2), Constitution(0), Dexterity(+1), Intelligence(-1), Charisma(1)

All his intelligence related rolls would be made with a -1.

With this in mind, you would then adjust the according stat card into your character profile with the following form:

VSSS - Voluntary Simple Stats System

Strength(0)

Constitution(0)

Dexterity(0)

Intelligence(0)

Charisma(0)

This is a voluntary system, meaning that it requires that everyone involved in any rp scene is ok with using it and that if anyone at all wants to opt out, you will have to use the base freeform that is the default.

Since there's no plugin or one that we're allowed to use at the moment, the system relies on trust that nobody goes into their profile to edit their stats mid-rp to give themselves any advantages. I trust that you won't be that immature, but just to be clear: Don't do that!

Also, it would be ideal if you allocated your stats by what represents your character and not by what is 'meta'. Don't dump all stats into body and dexterity because that will allow you to be good at combat rp, even though your character is a priest who mostly spends their time around chapels and giving others spiritual guidance.

Racial Stats

TBD. Lets play test the system first and see how it's like. Could later go into racial bonuses for each race because thats pretty cool too
