Liege, Lady, Countess, Servant, Mother, Priest, Watcher, Lamentor, Maerling
Bound to an endless struggle beneath the waves
[ Theme ]
Old ambitions were washed away in the face of Grief. New tides rise.
Race: Human, Maerling
Mutations: Azarin Vyre, Juvenile Maerling
Religion: Initiate to the lord of all tides, respectively swapped to after finding that they were abandoned from the court of Visage.
She also finds relative respect for followers of Ignis Synnove, The Grey Lady and Skraag. She's indifferent to mages, though feels that they can be of use.
Occupation: Initiate to the lord of tides
Age: 48 {Ages approximately 1 year per 5 years due to fledgeling vyrism.}
Other effects:
Tides' Call. They can breathe underwater in natural seawater, and such waters are always a comfortable temperature to them even if they are near-freezing.
THIS INCLUDES BEING ABLE TO SEE UNDERWATER. AS CONFIRMED BY BLARG!
Despair. Their mind is already extremely tampered with; attempts to influence their emotions or provoke actions simply fail, they cannot drown out the voice of the divine.
Briarwood has been remade in the image of a humanoid cephalopod. They have lost all of their hair, their mouth becomes a mess of tentacles, and their skin changes color to various tones of purple, grey, red, blue, or pallid white. Their head elongates and enlarges.
Telepathy. They can no longer use their mouths to communicate, but gain the ability to do so telepathically. Everyone in their vicinity can hear their words, but they may specifically target one person in line of sight so that only they hear, though they must continuously be looking at them while speaking.
Arcane Exception. This is a passive ability. If the Maerling is blessed by The Lord of All Tides, they are now permitted to learn and practice arcane magic.
Weak. All Maerlings are initially weaker than pre-Maerling. Everything will be more exhausting to perform physically.
Weakness to Starblood. Due to their divine origins, they are naturally weak to starblood. Being in contact with it dampens their abilities and blocks their ability to communicate telepathically. This weakness grows with each stage. At Mature, being struck with starblood leaves a Maerling physically dampened for a time. Physical actions require extra effort, they are slow and sluggish. At Elder, if struck they will be paralyzed from all actions for a moment.

The blossoms.
All four of them have a special place in her heart. She misses them dearly, though cannot remember them entirely, anymore. Briarwood is struck by intense grief because of it, because of her neglect towards them during the end times. Not knowing whether they're alive or dead in the world. She wears only dark colors because of this.
The husband
Though they were separated long before the end times, Briarwood misses him dearly still. She does not know if he is alive, but would be devastated to find of his death.
The Watcher
No longer beneath the tides, Briarwood feels betrayed. Betrayed by the life she spent trying to achieve a dream that was flung from the angelic courts of visage with nothing to say for it. She's angry at herself for devoting her life to the watcher and all that it cost her for doing so, angry at the watcher, even more angry at the world.
The lord of all tides
The entity of her ambition now. She has so little to lose.
The Lamentors
The members of this cult pursue the same ambition as she. Whether in some deviation or not, they are important to her. She swears not to neglect them the same way she had neglected her previous team.
