A new age has dawned and with it, a shamble town is pulled from the brackish clay! Here, at the mouth of the river Gill, the puddles are deep and the sludge is unyielding. It takes a certain type of stubbornness to carve out an existence on these muddy flats, or is it folly? One thing is for sure; the citizens of Gillsmouth are a shady bunch at best…

Fish. It has to be something about the fish. Or perhaps the wafts of fermenting sea wrack on the breeze. You’re sure something is off, but the more you try to get a grip on what that is exactly, the more of it slips through your fingers like the stinking marshland mud. All the while, the civilians gaze at you with their unblinking round eyes, greasy skin, and oddly wrinkled necks…

Gillsmouth is a town of mystery. There is much to uncover, even in its early days. These mysteries require detective-level problem solving, the help of archivists with ancient knowledge, and no small measure of courage. For the town will test your mental fortitude to its limits!

A small town like Gillsmouth is cursed by the same thing all villages undergo; constant gossip. What’s worse, someone is sending letters with horrible contents, signed with “sender”. They’re making the villagers blame each other as ‘the sender’ and it’s going from bad to worse. Right now, all fingers point at Greta. The mayor doesn’t want the village to tear itself apart and calls for aid in getting to the bottom of this ‘Sender’ person.

Completing this mystery unlocks GRETA’s favor. This NPC is now more likely to tell the truth and help adventurers. Unlock Greta’s slot in the tradehub.
