Gillsmouth has worked itself up economically and this has not gone unnoticed. 
The town has barely dragged itself out of the mud, but already an outside threat is looming.
Asher Varyn has sent word to the mayor of Gillsmouth that he is to submit his town to Varyn rule.
With the populace weak, taking this town will be a breeze!

Or will it?

The mayor sends word out to all who have a score to settle with Asher or who wish well for Gillsmouth.
The arrogance of this Varyn ruler has played into the mayor's hand; It has given him time to prepare.
Asher will expect little resistance from this sickened town. The mayor intends to prove him wrong.

Gillsmouth's fate will be decided

Those who seek to increase their standing with the Varyn warlord must hop onto his longship.
Those who seek to stand by the underdog must make haste to assist the mayor in Gillsmouth.

The days leading up to Friday will be used to make plans with Varyn or prepare barricades with the mayor.
A skirmish is inevitable. Pick a side, or watch from the sidelines, there can be only one victor here.
