Description
Scattered sparsely around the Northern Kingdom is a race of spry folk known for their free spirit and smaller stature, called Halflings. A good number live nomadically, while others prefer a sedentary life. In rural settings, Halflings have a stereotype for their optimism and their wanderlust, while in urban settings, they have a stigma for thievery and mischief.
Standing between 3-4 feet in height, the Halflings are the second shortest race next to their corrupted kin, the Greylings. They are typically between 40lbs and 50lbs with generally slim builds. Their overall complexion, as well as hair and eye color, is not too different from that of humans. However, they do sport more freckles and less facial hair than humans. Some Halflings don’t have any facial hair at all. Besides their height, they’re distinguished by their pointy ears and sturdy feet. A Halfling matures at 16 years old, experiences physical degradation at around 50 years old, and typically lives up to around 80 years old.
Abilities
Halflings are physically weak.
Halflings live for 5 ages.
A Halfling’s mind and by extension their emotions, personality, and memories are uncorruptable by magic or mutations, unless the Halfling is willing.
History
There having never been a Halfling nation or polity, their history is largely wrapped in those of other cultures they live and thrive alongside. When playing a Halfling, just decide what other culture they lived near or within and go with their history.
